Shreveport Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault After Waving a Gun

SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport police get called out on another gun call last Tuesday night. On June 27th, 2023, around 11:40 p.m. Shreveport Police Department Patrol officers were contacted in reference to a report of an armed person in the 3700 block of Hardy Street.

On arrival, officers conducted an initial investigation where responding officers determined that the victim reportedly was involved in a verbal dispute when Victor Wilson (2-8-96) produced a handgun and threatened the victim. Further investigation led officers to the arrest of Wilson for one count of aggravated assault.

According to Louisiana.gov: Aggravated assault is an assault committed with a dangerous weapon. B. Whoever commits an aggravated assault shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars or imprisoned for not more than six months, or both.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
