On May 7, 2023, at 10:21 p.m., the Shreveport Fire Department responded to the report of a house fire in the 2300 block of Queens Hwy.

The first units arrived on the scene within three minutes of dispatch and found a single-story structure with flames coming from the rear of the house. Crews immediately took measures to extinguish the fire and prevent damage from spreading further into the home. No one was in the residence at the time of the incident.

Approximately twenty-one fire personnel operating eight units worked together to bring the fire under control in about twenty minutes. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
