A fund has been set up to help pay the funeral expenses for two young children gunned down in Shreveport earlier this week.

The grandmother of the Marter babies has set up a Go Fund Me account to try to pay for the funeral expenses for the children. Brandy Marter-Moreno is hoping to raise $20,000 to bury her two grandchildren, ten-month-old Lillian Rose Marter and 23-month-old Ronnie Marter.

Both of the babies were kidnapped and gunned down on Tuesday by a man who also took his own life. He apparently got into a dispute with the mother of the children at a home on Klug Pines in west Shreveport. He then kidnapped the children and drove them to Bill Cockrell Park off of Pines Road where he shot them both. He then killed himself.

My name is Brandy Moreno. Last night both of my grand babies age 10 months and 2 years old were abducted and murdered. I am setting up this fund to pay for funeral expenses. Please donate if you can and please share this.

Money and messages have been rolling in to help this family. One donor says "I’m so sorry for your loss, such beautiful babies. My heart breaks for you and your family. Keeping you in my prayers." Another donor says "God bless this mom. May God be with her and the rest of the family now and forever because dear Lord they need you."

Click here if you would like to make a donation. As of Friday morning, more than $19,000 dollars has been raised to help this family.
