Shreveport Fire Department Battles Early-Morning Blaze in Highland
Shreveport Fire Department fire crews were dispatched at 2:33 a.m. to Marshall Avenue and Wall Street to a reported 2-story house fire. The first fire engine arrived on scene and reported heavy black smoke and heavy flames coming from the structure.
Firefighters quickly got suited up to begin battling the blazing flames. It took the efforts of over 50 firefighters—36 fire units, roughly over 1 hour to bring this blaze under control. The fire cause is still under investigation.
The investigation in to the cause of the fire is ongoing. This article will be updated as more information is forthcoming.
