Shreveport Farmers’ Market will open for the Fall season this Saturday, October 22, at 8:00 a.m.  Fall produce will be available, plus ethically-produced meats, Gulf Shrimp, goat cheese, artisan sausages, and a variety of home-canned and home-baked goods.

The Market Café will offer a variety of ready to eat foods from cultures including Italian, Cajun, Philippine, Puerto Rican, and Korean, in addition to domestic and old-fashioned favorites.  Music will further enhance the outdoor dining area in the Market Café tent.  Typical crops for the fall season include sweet potatoes, Satsuma oranges, winter squashes, fall tomatoes, pumpkins, and various greens.  An array of crafts will also be included, from soy candles to rag dolls.

The market takes place on Saturdays from October 22 to November 19, from 8:00 a.m. until noon,  under the East Pavilion in Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport.
