Red River Revel 2026 Here Is How to Perform at Shreveport’s Biggest Arts Festival
If you have ever dreamed of showcasing your skills at one of the biggest art festivals in America, consider this your official sign.
The Red River Revel Arts Festival just announced that applications are officially open for music and performing arts for their landmark 50th Annual Festival. This isn't just any year, it’s a golden milestone for our community, and the Revel is looking for the best of the best to fill the stages of downtown Shreveport.
What the Committee is Looking For
Selection for the Revel is a prestigious nod to your craft. A committee will review all submissions based on three main pillars:
Artistic Quality: How polished and professional is your act?
Educational & Entertainment Value: Does it engage the crowd or offer something unique to the festival atmosphere?
Performance History: The committee looks at how recently (and frequently) you’ve performed at the Revel to keep the lineup fresh and exciting.
Remember, applying doesn't guarantee a spot, and application fees are non-refundable. Make sure your submission is your absolute best work!
How to Make Your Application Stand Out
To give yourself the best shot, don't skip the media links. It is highly recommended that you upload or link to high-quality audio or video of your performance. Providing clear examples helps the organizers find the perfect stage and time slot for your specific vibe.
Musicians & Soloists: Due to the massive volume of submissions, there is a $10 application fee for music.
Performing Arts: Applications are FREE and open to a wide range of talents, including dance, film, poetry, spoken word, theater, magic, puppetry, opera, and vocal ensembles.
A Legacy 50 Years in the Making
Established in 1976, the Red River Revel is woven into the very fabric of downtown Shreveport. What started as a project by the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier has grown into a cultural powerhouse.
For nearly five decades, the Revel has been more than just a party, it’s a commitment to our city. From its refined art education initiatives for Caddo and Bossier 4th graders to its role as a nonprofit stalwart since 1982, the Revel has spent the past 50 years fostering creativity in the SBC.
This year, you have the chance to be a part of that history. Whether you’re a magician, a garage band, or a spoken word poet, the 50th year is the time to put your name in the hat.
