A tornado watch is in effect for most of the Arklatex until at least 6pm,

The National Weather service has also issued a tornado warning for DeSoto Parish, Sabine Parish and Shelby County Texas until 12:30 Sunday.

The storm is just South of Center Texas moving northeast at 40 MPH.

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for part of the Arklatex. This includes Webster, DeSoto, Caddo, Bossier, Red River and Bienville Parishes.

We are under a Tornado Watch and the threat of a tornado is very high today.

Storms have rolled through Coushatta, Ringgold, Stonewall and Mansfield with the storms now impacting Shreveport and Bossier City.

Some residents have reported high winds and quarter size hail. The National Weather Service reports hail damage to vehicles is expected. The winds could also cause damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

This storm system will impact Shreveport, Bossier City, Minden, Mansfield, Haughton, Coushatta, Stonewall, Ringgold, Sibley, Doyline, Dixie Inn, Dubberly, Heflin, Eastwood, Fosters, Martin, South Mansfield, Hall Summit, Edgefield and Jamestown.

At least two inches of rain is expected in Shreveport Bossier on Sunday.
