This ain't no hoax! There is now a car powered by water... salt water!

Quant's e--SportLimousine is the first electric vehicle that is powered by salt water and it has recently been approved for use on public roads in Europe.

Quant is the company that has created a new technology called the nanoFLOWCELL. This cell powers the car just as an electric battery would, except the returns are much higher.  Quant claims the nanoFLOWCELL generates a "staggering 920 horsepower, goes 0-62 mph in 2.8 seconds, and propels the car to a top speed of 217.5 mph."

I'm sure there are many in the Shreveport-Bossier area working in the oil and gas industry that would not welcome such a car.  But there are probably at least as many folks that would love to fill up with a tank of salt water rather than a tank of gasoline.
