Grand Opening Announced for Shreveport/Bossier Ronald McDonald House

The Shreveport/Bossier City area is only one week until the grand opening of Northwest Louisiana's very first Ronald McDonald House!

On their website, Ronald McDonald House writes exactly why this is such an incredible addition to our area: "Ronald McDonald House: Shreveport-Bossier will serve families with an ill or injured child in any Shreveport hospital. By keeping families together during an already difficult time, the House removes barriers to life-saving care for children and eases financial burdens. All services at the Ronald McDonald House​ are provided to families free of charge."

You might recall the excitement just two years ago when construction of the new Ronald McDonald House was first announced.  It was then they announced construction would begin in early 2024 and was expected to be completed in 2025.

Well, according to their recent event post on Facebook, that completion date is here and the Grand Opening of the new facility at 9100 Susan Drive in Shreveport, is set for Tuesday, October 28, at 10:00 am.

This amazing facility will provide free accommodations for as many as 20 families while their children are treated at area hospitals, so it's easy to see why so many people are so excited about its opening.

However, Ronald McDonald House could use some additional help.  Writing on their website: "We can’t open the doors to an empty House.  We need kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and family room supplies to ensure our first families have all the comforts of home while staying close to their hospitalized child."
