Anglers to Flock to Caddo Lake for Redbud Bass Tournament
The town of Vivian in North Caddo Parish is again rolling out the red carpet for all comers for this year's Louisiana Redbud Festival!

Though the actual "Redbud Day" won't be until Saturday, March 15, when they'll hold the Redbud Parade and many other activities, they've made the event several weeks long.
Along with the "Ruby Collins Memorial Treasure Hunt" which will begin this coming Monday, March 10, the Redbud Festival is home to many other attractions including the "Redbud Pet Contest" on March 13, the "Redbud Gospel Night" on March 14 and the "Redbud Glow Run" also on March 14.
However, the event near and dear to local anglers will be the 4th Annual Louisiana Redbud Team Bass Fishing Tournament slated for this Saturday, March 8 at Earl G. Williamson Park on Caddo Lake in Oil City, Louisiana.
Entry fee is $150 per team with a maximum of two people per team. This includes entry into the Big Bass Pot which will pay $500 for the biggest bass of the event.
Tournament Director Mike Echols says of the Redbud Festival Bass Tournament on Caddo Lake, "This is a great event with a high (90%) payout. The Red Bud Committee and Town of Vivian welcome you to come enjoy the day and win some money!"
Start fishing time will be 6:15 a.m. Teams must stop fishing by 3:00 p.m. and must be checked in at the “Bag Line” no later than 3:45 pm
