It’s hard to believe just how selective Mother Nature has been this spring and even though we’ve had so little rain, we’re paying the price for the rain in Texas and Oklahoma by having to close most of the public boat launches in Shreveport and Bossier.  The only public launch open is Bishop Point and the private marinas are still open, but be careful if you’re thinking of a fishing trip in the near future.  All the high water has tons of debris floating down the Red, and in some cases, it’s just barely under the surface and really hard to spot.  According to Lt. Donna Jackson of the Caddo Sheriff’s Department, the river should rise almost another 3 feet to about 23.7 feet by this weekend.
