POLL: Who Should Win Entertainer of the Year at the 2017 ACM Awards?
Entertainer of the Year, the biggest trophy at the ACM Awards, will be handed out for 2017 on April 2, and the competition is fierce. Of this year's current nominees, Luke Bryan and Carrie Underwood have both won Entertainer of the Year twice, while Jason Aldean took home his first win in the category at the 2016 ACMs. Florida Georgia Line and Keith Urban are also in the running ... Who do you think will be win?
From a history-making record to a 360-degree arena tour, Underwood is certainly deserving of the ACM's highest honor in 2017. Her most recent album, Storyteller, made history on the Billboard charts, she hit the road with her first-ever in-the-round tour, and she was named Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2016 CMA Awards (a ceremony that she flawlessly hosted with Brad Paisley for the ninth year in a row).
Nominated for EOTY for the first time, Florida Georgia Line have proved that they're deserving of the honor throughout 2016 -- and their career thus far. The duo's third studio album, Dig Your Roots, teamed them with everyone from Tim McGraw to the Backstreet Boys, revealing a grown-up side to Bryan Kelley and Tyler Hubbard.
Urban's studio album Ripcord made history in 2016, and was named one of the best country albums of 2016 by The Boot. A relentless live performer, Urban spent most of the year on the road, inviting Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris to join his Ripcord World Tour and teaming up with Underwood for a month of shows in his native Australia and New Zealand.
Aldean released his latest record, They Don't Know, in September; when it debuted at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, it was the third of his albums to do so. Aldean is also an ACM Triple Crown winner, having won Entertainer of the Year in 2016, Male Vocalist of the Year in 2015, 2014 and 2013 and New Male Vocalist of the Year in 2005.
Bryan spent 2016 collaborating with some huge country stars and bringing his music to fans all over the country on two tours. "Home Alone Tonight," which Bryan recorded with Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild, reached the top spot on the country charts in February, giving the singer his 15th career No. 1. Also that month, Bryan kicked off his Kill the Lights Tour, playing ballparks and stadiums all over the country (then extending its run into 2017). As if that wasn't enough, Bryan also continued his annual Farm Tour for the eighth consecutive year.
