One woman has been arrested by Shreveport Police in connection kidnapping and robbery of a local woman in early January.

Back on January 2, 2020, just after 8:30 a.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers were contacted by a female victim who advised that after arriving at her place of employment, she was accosted by a female suspect armed with a hand gun. The victim further advised that the suspect forced her to get back into her car and drive to a nearby automated teller machine. The suspect proceeded to rob the victim of an undisclosed amount of cash and made her continue to drive to a south Shreveport neighborhood, where she made the victim exit the car before driving away.

Shreveport Police detectives were made aware of the circumstances of the case and have since, worked tirelessly in search of the suspect. On January 16, 2020, Shreveport Police arrived at a residence in the 2100 block of North Hearne Avenue in execution of a search warrant. Upon the warrant’s execution, they located 39 year old Cassandra Taylor. Evidence linking Taylor to the crime were also recovered inside the home. Taylor was taken into custody and transported to the Shreveport City Jail where she was interviewed by investigators. Following subsequent interrogation, Taylor was transported to and booked in the Shreveport City Jail on charges of armed robbery and second degree kidnapping.
