Poke Salad Treasure Has Been Found!
Just got an email a minute ago from Neil Kalberg, the President of the Poke Salad Festival and he says you can stop hunting the treasure as it has been found! The Poke Salad Festival Treasure for $1,500.00 has been found on Thursday May 12, 2011. The treasure was found by Diane Tomich, a Blanchard resident, she works at the Barksdale Federal Credit Union. The treasure was located under the second mail box in front of the Blanchard Post Office.
Lots of other activities are on tap for the Poke Salad Festival throughout the weekend highlighted by Saturday's parade, carnival and all the activities on the festival grounds, in Blanchard, Louisiana.
