‘Person of Interest’ in Mall Bomb Scare Not Charged
Bossier City police have located the person of interest wanted in connection with yesterday afternoon's bomb scare at Pierre Bossier Mall.
City spokesman Mark Natale says in a news release that police were called back to the mall at around 8:30 last night when a patron reported seeing someone fitting the description of the man police were searching for.
Officers arrived at the mall and made contact with the man. He was taken to the Bossier City Police Department and interviewed.
During questioning, detectives learned he was the man who had left the suitcase at the mall. However, they determined there was no criminal intent. He hasn't been charged with any crime.
The incident forced authorities to evacuate the mall and detonate the suitcase, which contained a pressure cooker.
