Have you heard the big news coming out of one of Shreveport’s most beautiful landmarks? The R.W. Norton Art Gallery has officially pulled back the curtain on the 2026 Twilight Talkies season, and it’s shaping up to be one for the record books!

For those who haven't experienced it yet, Twilight Talkies is more than just a movie night, it’s a community tradition.

There is something truly special about spreading a blanket on the lush, manicured lawn of the Norton, surrounded by the botanical gardens, as the sun dips below the horizon and the giant screen comes to life. It’s the ultimate night of family fun, and the best part? The atmosphere is absolutely electric.

The Norton took to Facebook to share their excitement: "We're thrilled to announce the schedule for our 2026 Twilight Talkies season. We will skip July and August because of the heat, but the rest of the year should be beautiful with such a fun lineup!"

The 2026 Season Highlights

The season kicks off on Friday, May 1st, with a classic: Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Whether you’re "saving Ferris" for the first time or the fiftieth, it’s the perfect way to start the spring. The schedule also includes the quirky, cult-classic Napoleon Dynamite and the recent box-office phenomenon, Barbie.

Plan Your Visit

To make the most of your evening, arrive early! Local food trucks will be on hand starting at 6:00 PM to serve up yummy treats, though personal picnics are always welcome. The main feature begins at 8:00 PM.

The House Rules:

To keep the gardens pristine and the event family-friendly, please remember:

Bring: Comfortable chairs and blankets.

Leave at Home: Dogs, smoking, and all tobacco products are strictly prohibited.

The Norton Art Gallery is located at 4747 Creswell Ave, Shreveport, LA 71106. What’s the best movie you’ve ever seen on the Norton lawn? Let us know in the comments!
