Actually, if your boat registration has expired or you were hoping to register your new boat for a trip this weekend, it could be considered a big problem.

In a notice from the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, we learn that effective today, Thursday, October 30 until 8:00 am next Wednesday, November 5, you are not going to be able to do that online.

LDWF says they're experiencing planned maintenance of those internet services and due to this maintenance, online boat registration is unavailable.  They will be working diligently to modernize all their online efforts in this regard.

Not Only Will LDWF Licensing Be Unavailable Online, No Service Available Mon-Tues

The advisement from LDWF goes on to say that in addition to the outage of online service, on Monday, November 3, and Tuesday, November 4, the licensing division will be closed to all customers. This will include all in-person and telephone customers as LDWF works to improve the boat registration experience.

Customers will still have access to louisianaoutdoors.com for purchasing or viewing licenses, permits, HIP Certifications, tags, entering lotteries and other items of this nature.
