My heart is absolutely shattered. One of my absolute go-to spots for a quick, comforting plate of lasagna is closing its doors, and honestly, I don't think I'm ever going to fully get over it.

Notini’s Italian Restaurant has officially announced that after more than four decades of feeding generations of families across the Shreveport-Bossier area, they will be permanently closing their location at 2013 Airline Drive on September 25th.

Founded back in June 1981 by Jerry Kolniak, his brother Ronnie, and their father Stanley, Notini’s was created to honor Jerry’s grandfather, Antonio Notini. Antonio immigrated from Barga, Italy in 1909 and devoted his life to the restaurant industry. That deep family legacy of hard work, warm hospitality, and scratch-made Italian recipes became the exact foundation that made Notini’s so special.

Over the last 45 years, Notini’s became way more than just a place to grab dinner. It’s been the backdrop for countless birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, awkward first dates, and comforting family meals.

When Tim Huck and Grayson Bailey took over ownership in November 2019, they carried that torch with so much pride, preserving the traditional recipes we all grew up loving while keeping that welcoming, home-like feel alive.

"It is with both heavy hearts and deep gratitude that we announce the closing of Notini's," shared owners Tim Huck and Grayson Bailey. "It has been an incredible privilege to carry on such an important local tradition. We are profoundly grateful to every guest who chose to celebrate life's special moments with us and to every employee who helped make Notini's feel like home."

While it’s incredibly tough to say goodbye, we still have a little time left. The community is invited to stop by 2013 Airline Drive one final time before September 25th to grab your favorite dish, visit with the staff, and celebrate 45 years of incredible local history.

Thank you, Notini’s, for decades of incredible food and unforgettable memories!
