Pro wrestling is one of the biggest sports in the United States. No matter how you slice it, TV numbers, merchandise sales, tickets for events, the economic impact of WWE's Wrestlemania...they all point to the power and size of pro wrestling in the US.

But as big as it is here, it might be bigger (in a pound-for-pound sense) in Japan.

New Japan Pro Wrestling is the biggest pro wrestling organization in Japan, and is one of the biggest in the world. Just head into your local mall, and hit a Hot Topic to see all of the New Japan gear being sold there.

Well, as pro wrestling continues to expand across the globe, the two countries biggest companies are going to start overlapping. Meaning you're about to see more New Japan Pro Wrestling in the US.

Overnight, NJPW held one of their biggest annual events, Wrestle Kingdom. During the show, a major announcement was made regarding NJPW in the US. This July, New Japan will be coming to Dallas.

The show will be July 6th at the American Airline Center, and it will be the kickoff of the G1 Climax 29 series. The show will likely include world-wide superstars like Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Kazuchika Okada, Zack Sabre Jr, Juice Robinson, Will Ospreay, and the Bullet Club.

Tickets aren't on sale yet, but you can expect a lot of Ark-La-Tex sales when they do.
