The National Night Out block parties have become an annual tradition of neighborhoods coming together for friendly revelry, food, music, and just an all around good time. If your block is anywhere in an unincorporated area of Caddo Parish and would like to participate in the celebration, applications are now available through the Caddo Parish Sheriff Office.

The applications are available at any of the sheriff's substations or on-line at caddosheriff.org. A direct link to the application can be found HERE. They must be completed and returned to the Sheriff's Office substation nearest to the applicant’s residence no later than September 30. If approved, a copy of the application will serve as the citizen's permit to block portions of their street.

National Night Out is being celebrated in Caddo and Bossier parishes on October 4. Residents are encouraged to take a public stand against crime by participating in neighborhood gatherings and crime prevention events.

“It’s a great opportunity to meet your neighbors, show support for law enforcement, and learn what’s happening close to home,” said Sheriff Steve Prator. “Criminals can’t win if we are united in our approach to fight crime.”
