Mudbugs Alumni Game Coming in March

Mudbugs greats from the past 20 years coming back to play on Shreveport ice?? Sign me up!

For longtime Mudbugs fans, this is truly a dream come true. I remember years ago, when I was in high school just before starting to work for the Mudbugs myself, I remember running into a Mudbugs player in public. It was one of the most well-known and beloved Mudbugs players of all time, goalie Kenny Carroll. I was eating at Ichiban and when he walked in, it was like the entire restaurant turned to see it it was really Kenny. Soon after, he was bombarded with fans that wanted to meet him and possibly get a picture.

These guys were true Shreveport celebrities, and I'll never forget how cool it was just to be around of of those guys.

Now, the boys are back in town.

The Mudbugs have announced an alumni game taking place on March 16th at George's Pond. This alumni game has a little twist, in that Mudbugs stars from the past will actually be going head-to-head with alumni players from the Dallas Stars.

The 'Bugs are set to start announcing names very soon, and they will feature players ranging from 1997-2018.

As the announcements are made, I will keep this post updated.
