For years, paranormal enthusiasts have speculated that the historic town of Jefferson, Texas is home to the most haunted hotel in the entire Lone Star State.

Being just a quick 45-minute drive down I-20 from Shreveport, you would think I’d have packed a bag and checked it out by now. But I am officially convincing myself that some local road trips are better left untaken.

I follow the Jefferson Palace Hotel on social media because, honestly, who wouldn’t want to stay in the know about the supernatural? That, and I have never been able to muster up the actual courage to walk inside. I prefer staring at the gorgeous, eerie building safely from the outside. However, after seeing the latest status update from this creepy East Texas landmark, I am completely good off ever crossing that threshold.

Ladies and gentlemen, let’s all freak out over "The Doll Room" together, shall we?

According to the hotel’s owners, Jeromy and Pam Jones, a recent weekend brought some high-level paranormal activity inside Room 14. The hotel staff took to Facebook to share a mind-boggling report from their guests:

"While the guests were completely out of the room, one of the dolls somehow fell all the way across the room on its own. Later on, while the guests were sitting completely still inside the room, they actually witnessed another doll move right before their eyes! Let’s just say the energy was off the charts, and a few of our permanent, porcelain residents were very eager to make their presence known."

A doll throwing itself across a room? Absolutely not.

If you love the creepy feeling of moving porcelain residents and things that go bump in the night, this legendary spot is practically in our backyard. You can book your own terrifying stay right now by visiting jeffersonpalace.myshopify.com.

Just don't expect me to tag along.
