On April 16th, 2023, around 5:34 a.m. Shreveport Police Department Patrol officers were contacted in reference to a report of an incident in progress at a residence in the 600 block of Central Street. The caller told dispatchers that his mother’s ex-boyfriend had broken a window and entered the residence. 

While en route, officers were informed that the suspect was trying to attack a female inside the residence. Officers arrived and took Odis Simmons (10-13-1965) into custody. Further investigation by Shreveport Police Patrol officers discovered multiple facts and circumstances that led to the arrest of Simmons. 

After responding officers conducted their investigation Simmons was arrested for one count of Home Invasion. 

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
