Man Arrested by Shreveport Police for Beating 62 Year Old Man
On May 3rd, 2023, at 5:45 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a call of an assault and battery call from a local area hospital. Responding officers were contacted by a hospital nurse and informed of a man that had arrived badly beaten. Officers arrived and found that the victim had significant injuries.
Investigators with the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Unit responded and began their investigation. Detectives identified Leone Samuels (06/26/1995) as the suspect in the beating of the 62-year-old victim. Detectives obtained a warrant for one count of 2nd-degree battery for Samuels.
On June 6th, 2023, members of the Shreveport Police Warrants Unit were able to take Samuels into custody for his outstanding warrant. The victim was severely injured but is expected to recover.
We must remind that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
