Transfer quarterback Joe Burrow will start at quarterback for the LSU Tigers this Sunday night against 8th ranked Miami (FL).

LSU Head Coach Ed Orgeron held off on publicly announcing Burrow as the starter when he met with the media for his press conference today. Reportedly it was because he wanted to tell the team first.

Burrow’s starter status became official as the team's depth chart was released this afternoon. Coach O says Burrow and Myles Brennan were told of the decision this morning.

Orgeron, and new Offensive Coordinator Steve Ensminger, reportedly picked Burrow over sophomore Myles Brennan, because of Burrow’s experience and decision-making.

Burrow landed at LSU after a lengthy shopping process, that included official visits across the country. He was a heavily recruited 4-star player out of high school, gaining offers from Virginia Tech, NC State, West Virginia, Fresno State, Boston College, and dozens of others.

Now that Burrow has the reigns of the offense, we'll see how he handles the super hyped Miami Hurricanes defense this weekend.
