Lowder Baking Company Holiday Preorders Due November 22nd: Secure Your Pies and Rolls

One local bakery in Shreveport is on a mission to make your holiday gatherings less stressful by keeping you out of the kitchen days ahead of Thanksgiving.

Preston and Sarah Lowder, the owners and founders of Lowder Baking Company (and Doc's Sandwich Shop & Deli), are the talented bakers who started their journey making those incredible Lowder King Cakes right from their home kitchen for family and friends. After quitting their full-time jobs, they finally opened their first beloved bakery storefront in January 2019.

Shreveport residents already love that the bakery menu changes weekly with fresh, made-from-scratch items, including breakfast pastries, cinnamon rolls, assorted breads, cookies, and brownies. Now, they are hyper-focused on making the holidays easier by freeing up your oven for everything except the baking, they’ve got that covered.

From amazing pumpkin pies to their fluffy dinner rolls, they are handling just about everything except the turkey. Sarah Lowder claims they are eager to help feed our community and take the stress out of the holiday season. Everything is, of course, made from scratch, including their famous Louisiana Pecan Pie, which uses pecans sourced from a local orchard.

Pies and rolls are always their big sellers for Thanksgiving, but the full bakery menu will also be available for the season.
