Feel like you're constantly treading water? If you're stressed out, you're not alone. According to WalletHub, Louisiana is one of the most 'stressed out' states in the country!

Just how stressed out are we in Louisiana?

And here I was wondering why I always found myself singing along to the song Stressed Out by twenty one pilots. Now I know why. It turns out that Louisiana is the 2nd most stressed out state in the country, second to Mississippi. This seems weird to me because, in Louisiana, we're usually all about passing a good time!

WalletHub studied a number of stressors including average hours worked, the lingering effects of COVID-19, divorce, and suicide rates, as well as crime and health stats, to compile the list of the country's most stressed-out states. They found that Louisiana, on average, works the fifth most hours. We also rank 5th when it comes to the percentage of adults who are in poor health. This isn't looking very good for us, is it?

Stressed about finances? No surprise, Louisiana ranks 2nd when it comes to folks with the lowest credit score and for the percentage of people living in poverty. Louisiana is first when it comes to crimes per capita and third for divorce. We also happen to be the state with the fewest psychologists per capita.
