URGENT: 12 Louisiana Children Are Missing—Please Look at These Faces
Twelve Louisiana kids have mysteriously disappeared over the past several months and their disappearances have left their families to deal with the wake of grief.

I can only imagine the unanswered questions from those families. What did I do wrong? Why didn't I do a better job protecting them? Did they know how much I love them? Where are they now? Are they safe? Do they know I'm desperately looking for them?
According to the website, missingkids.org, since January 1 of this year, 1,255 children have been reported missing in the United States.

Considering the crippling problem of human trafficking that has put a grip on our country over the last few years, one would fear the absolute worst for the lion-share of these beautiful children.
The website childfindofamerica.org writes that an estimated 2,300 children are missing every day in the United States. Let that sobering number sink in for a minute.
Children Become Missing For A Number Of Reasons In These 5 Categories
According to The National Incidence Studies of Missing, Abducted, Runaway, and Thrownaway Children (NISMART) program, there are five categories of episodes that can cause children to become missing:
- Benign reasons (i.e. misunderstandings)
- Ran away/thrown away
- Lost, stranded, or injured
- Family abduction
- Stranger abduction
So, while "stranger abduction" is one of those five categories, it's actually not the most prominent. The National Child Protection Task Force writes, "Most missing kids aren’t taken by strangers; many aren’t abducted at all. They leave homes, foster placements, or schools quietly, often unseen and misunderstood."
Even If A Child Leaves Of Their Own Will, The Danger They Face Grows By The Minute
However, once these kids have left home, the NCPTF adds, "But every child who disappears faces serious risks: exploitation, trafficking, and harm that grows each minute they’re away."
Regardless the reason they have disappeared, these kids deserve a liaison, someone to help them navigate a better life, and certainly not one that leads to trafficking, homelessness or death.
Please take a close look at these twelve innocent faces and if you happen to recognize one, immediately call 911 and report it.
You never know how great the impact of your call might make to a child being held against their will.
