Is Louisiana Good For Dating? New Study Ranks The Best States For Love
Is Shreveport making dating more difficult than it needs to be, or are we just overlooking the facts?
While we’re busy swiping and complaining about the "limited" options in the Ark-La-Tex, it turns out Louisiana might actually be one of the best places in the country to find love.
According to a new study by the Gen Z-centered site Hidden, Louisiana ranks as the third-best state in the nation for singles.
Scoring a 28.38 on the "Dating Difficulty Index," we were outshone only by Rhode Island and South Dakota. That’s right, Louisiana is officially a top-three destination for making meaningful connections.
But how did they figure that out? The researchers analyzed six key factors: the percentage of singles in the population, average date costs, the density of bars and restaurants, and the amount spent on dating apps.
The data confirms what I’ve always suspected: we are living in a "love hub" that doesn't break the bank.
Shreveport is packed with stellar spots that can "wow" a serious partner, from high-end dining to those perfectly casual roadside taquerias I love so much. Between our vibrant food scene and the low cost of a night out, the barriers to entry for a great first date are surprisingly low.
So, is it time we stop judging our dating scene and start embracing it? If the data is right, Shreveport isn't just a place to live; it’s one of the best places in America to fall in love.
