LDH Reveals Most Popular Baby Names for Louisiana Newborns in 2025

For those Louisiana couples who might be expecting the arrival of a little one this year, the search for that baby's name has likely begun.

And, while most expecting parents would like to give the baby a name unique to her/him, we really do look to others for inspiration on that name, and in most cases, it has very little to do with that child individually.

That's why the information released this week from the Louisiana Department of Health could prove to be an invaluable tool for these soon-to-be parents. They are idea starters. Possible name suggestions and these are specific to Louisiana, so that makes them even better.

According to LDH, these were the top names baby names in Louisiana for 2025.

The rankings are based on provisional birth certificate data collected by the Center for Vital Records and Statistics.
