We all know medical prices have gone up dramatically over the past couple of decades, but we found information about what it cost to have a baby in a hospital in 1943.

Believe it or not, but the total cost was $29 dollars!!  That pricetag would be about $100,000 plus today. How have we gotten so out of control on this front? What do we have to do fix this?  Obviously we will never go back to the prices of the 40's, but can we do something to curb the rising costs.

I started looking at prices over the decades for other items. But first we must look at wages over the years.
