We pause on this Memorial Day to remember those who have died in service to our country. I know most of you see this as the beginning of summer and a nice long weekend, but please think about thousands of men and women who took a pledge to defend our country and died doing just that.

All of us should be forever grateful to those brave men and women. I will say a pray today for those who have died. They did so to make sure my rights as an American citizen are protected.

But I don't think anyone could have honored the fallen better than Ronald Reagan. This is well worth the trip down memory lane.

Reagan reminds us all:

We have prospered as no other people on other. It is because we have unleashed the individual genious of man to a greater extent than has ever been done before. The price for this freedom has been high. But we have never been unwilling to pay that price. Those that say we're in a time where there are no heroes; they just don't know where to look. The slopping hills of Arlington National Cemetary with its row upon row of simple white markers bearing Crosses or Stars of David. They add up to only a tiny fraction of the price that has been paid for our freedom.
