Another series of changes could coming soon to Louisiana high school football teams, as the LHSAA begins public meetings across the state on Tuesday. Among the latest proposals is the elimination of Class 1A in football and moving football playing schools in that classification up to Class 2A.

Another possible change is to cut the number of non-select divisions from three to two.

A meeting to get public feedback will be held at the Bossier Instructional Center on Airline Drive Tuesday morning at 8:30. Final decisions on the proposed changes will be made at the LHSAA’s annual convention later this month in Baton Rouge.
