Shreveport’s LA 3132 Getting Much-Needed Repairs This Week
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has evidently heard our cries and is finally about to do something about some of the dangerous driving conditions on LA 3132.

An alert from DOTD notified all motorists that this Wednesday, August 13, the right (outside) lane of LA 3132 eastbound from I-20 to LA 511 (W. 70th Street) in Shreveport will be closed for much needed repair work.
In conjunction with those repairs, the I-20 eastbound on-ramp to LA 3132 eastbound will also be closed.
This lane/ramp closure is scheduled to take place from approximately 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and is necessary to allow DOTD crews to conduct roadway repair on LA 3132.
Since this will be a total/complete ramp closure at the specified location, all vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
During the hours of construction, the I-20 eastbound to I-220 eastbound ramp will remain open so vehicles will be able to detour using the Jefferson Paige Rd. interchange.
As with all projects of this type, work will be done "weather permitting", so inclement weather could postpone, extend or alter in other ways the scheduled work day/hours.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
