LA 169 Bridge Closure: Dixie Mooringsport Road Shuts Down April 27
A critical two-week closure of LA 169 (Dixie Mooringsport Road) in north Caddo Parish is going to bring on some traffic issues for drivers in the area.

Beginning next Monday, April 27, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has notified all drivers that the LA 169 bridge over Twelve Mile Bayou east of the Town of Mooringsport will be closed daily.
In an effort to perform this much needed bridge girder and piling repair, the bridge will be closed to all traffic each day from approximately 8:30 am to 2:30 pm for two (2) weeks.
This bridge is located approximately 1.5 miles east of the intersection with LA 1.
This critical work ensures the structure remains in service to the community.

All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route during the daily closure.
As with all projects of this nature, work will be performed "Weather Permitting" so any inclement weather could postpone, extend, or alter in other ways, the scheduled work days/hours.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
