Shreveport Food Favorite KRUE Eats Announces Texas Move

I am completely bummed out over this news, you guys. We are officially losing a phenomenal Shreveport lunch spot. If you have been anywhere near TikTok over the last few years, you already know KRUE Eats.

They completely took over our feeds, going viral not just for their absolutely epic tacos but for a unique catering style that changed the game. Personally, their Cajun hibachi experience is forever my favorite, and knowing they won't be just a quick drive away anymore breaks my heart a little.

Owners Kay Oliver and Jordan Oliver have announced massive plans to relocate their family and business operations to Texas, focusing on expanding the KRUE brand throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

But before we all start crying into our empty taco plates, here is the silver lining: this is not a permanent goodbye to the Ark-La-Tex. The Olivers emphasized that they will still be expanding the brand, and they will absolutely remain available for large caterings and those custom events where they collaborate with local vendors right here at home.

In the press release, Executive Chef and Managing Partner Kay Oliver shared a beautiful message of gratitude for our community:

"This city gave us an opportunity to dream out loud. The support, encouragement, and love we've received from our customers, staff, family, and community have helped shape KRUE into what it is today. We will forever be grateful."

The family is looking at this transition as a major answered prayer. As they noted in the release:

"Funny how life starts making room for things you've been praying for long before you realize it's happening. This move is one of those moments. We're walking into a new season with gratitude, faith, and excitement for what's ahead."
