Join Up With Downs for Their Annual Buddy Walk

Saturday, October 6th Up with Downs is hosting their annual Buddy Walk at LSUS Campus by the Radio Tower. The day will be full of fun with bounce houses, obstacle courses, and face painting!  Get there to register at 9:00 a.m. the walk starts at 10:00 a.m. and lunch follows at 11:00 a.m. The cost for lunch is $20 for adults and $10 for kids. Up with Downs is a non-profit local organization that advocates for our friends and family members that are part of the Down Syndrome community.

Every year the Buddy Walk put on by Up with Downs raises funds to help pay for different projects they have going on and this year the funds raised will help pay for "Precious Gifts" kits for new parents, advocacy training, books, guest speakers and materials for families, and help with their social gatherings. Part of the funds raised are also going to the National Down Syndrome Society and local organizations inclluding Special Olympics. If you want to be a part of the Buddy Walk just show up on Saturday morning ready for a day of fun!
