If you haven't gotten your COVID-19 vaccination yet, you're behind schedule.  It's not really a problem, though.  You can get your shot or shots virtually anywhere.  I got mine shopping at Walmart!  The pharmacist literally burst out of the pharmacy at yelled, "Who needs their COVID shot?"  10 minutes later, I was well on my way to inoculation.  I've got another shot next week, and 14 days later I will be as immune as medical science can make me.

If you aren't down for the whole "2-shot" thing, maybe you had your eye on the Johnson & Johnson 1-shot route.  Then the whole "blood clot" issue prompted the CDC and the FDA to pause their approval of the vaccine in the middle of April.  If you missed it, blood clots were reported in several women after receiving the shot.  According to Yale Medicine, one woman unfortunately died from the complication.

Now that further study has been conducted on the link between the blood clots and the vaccine, and the authorities with the CDC and the FDA are satisfied that it is once again safe for public use.  The "pause" on administering it was officially lifted on Friday.  According to the ArkLaTex Homepage, that green light gave LSU Health Shreveport the thumbs up to start putting the Johnson & Johnson one-shot vaccine back on the menu.
