John Cena appeared in a PSA video for the Ad Council with an important Fourth of July message that everyone should see.

The WWE superstar, actor and all around "good guy" made a lot of good points—and I must be honest, his words will be refreshing for anyone who is tired of being inundated with constant hatred and political propaganda in their News Feeds.

Almost half the country belongs to minority groups. People who are lesbian, African American, bi, transgender, and Native American, and proud of it. After all, what’s more American than freedom to celebrate the things that makes us us. This year, patriotism shouldn’t just be about pride of country. It should be about love. Love beyond age, disability, sexuality, race, religion, and any other labels. Because the second any of us judge people based on those labels, we’re not really being patriotic, are we?

Cena's message is one of diversity, and celebrating what makes us "America." He challenges us to be Patriots who love not only the country, but those who make it what it is.

Even though many of us may believe that we aren't prejudiced, we often judge others based on what we see. Sometimes people truly don't mean any harm, but are biased when it comes to race, religion, sexuality, age or gender.

Share this with your friends if you believe in Cena's definition of "patriotism."
