How Jersey Mike’s Dethroned Chick-fil-A After an 11-Year Run
One of my absolute favorite local food spots right now is Jersey Mike's. I frequent the Bossier City location on Beene Boulevard at least once a week, and listen, for the price, the freshness, and the service, you just can't go wrong.
It turns out my obsession isn't just my own. In fact, it seems everyone in America is loving those hot subs just as much as I am. Can you believe Jersey Mike's now holds the title of the best fast-food spot in the country?
I love that whenever I walk into our local shop, someone is quick to welcome me. They genuinely make me feel important, slicing the meats right in front of me and helping me choose my toppings "Mike's Way." It turns out that stellar customer service is the exact trick that helped them rise to the top.
According to the new 2026 American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) study, Jersey Mike’s just ended Chick-fil-A’s massive 11-year run as the top-rated major fast-food brand. The sub chain achieved a spectacular satisfaction score of 84 out of 100, narrowly edging past Chick-fil-A’s score of 83.
Experts note that while overall industry scores are stable, consumers are getting way more selective about where they spend their money. Price still matters, but consistency and a great in-store experience are what truly separate the leaders right now.
Jersey Mike's is proving that premium freshness and making the customer feel like a VIP is a winning recipe. What’s your go-to sub order?
