
Women Used Drones Disguised as Crows to Fly Contraband Into Louisiana Prison
COLFAX, La. (KMDL-FM) - Two Texas women have been arrested after they used a drone disguised with plastic crow bird decoys to fly drugs and cell phones into United States Penitentiary, Pollock in Grant Parish, Louisiana.

The Grant Parish Sheriff's Department says they've arrested two Texas women after they say the women used a drone disguised with hollowed-out crows to fly over USP, Pollock to deliver drugs and cell phones to as of now unidentified prisoners at the facility.

Two Texas women were arrested for allegedly using a drone and hollowed-out plastic bird decoys to smuggle drugs and cellphones into a federal prison.
The suspects claimed they were paid $40,000 to drop the contraband-filled 'crows' into a Grant Parish, Louisiana, facility before being intercepted.

Grant Parish Sheriff’s have identified the women as Melanie Jean Worthington, 38, of Joshua, Texas, and Kassy Marie Cole, 41, of Hurst, Texas.

The two women are facing various charges of taking contraband into a penal institution and possession of methamphetamine and marijuana with intent to distribute as well as synthetic marijuana with the intent to distribute.
Fox4live.com reports that Cole had an outstanding warrant at the time she was arrested.
This is the second time something odd like this has happened at this Louisiana prison in the past year. In 2025, authorities arrested two men for using a "meth cannon" to attempt to shoot $112,000 worth of tobacco and $89,500 worth of methamphetamine over the prison walls.
