Where is Peyton 'Pop' Houston Going To Play In College?

This week, a big event was held at Evangel for Houston to make his college commitment. During that event, Houston announced that he was committing to LSU, and staying in Louisiana.

That commitment was a big shock to many in the college football recruiting world, with Oklahoma being considered a better-than-90% prediction from some sites. With LSU having a less than 1% chance of signing him.

One of the coolest aspects of Houston's announcement was the inclusion of his own trading card to celebrate the decision.

The cards are part of Houston's name/image/likeness, or NIL, deal with Leaf Trading Cards. Houston signed the NIL deal with the card company in 2024 after his Freshman season. That's right, Houston signed a 5-year-deal with one of the biggest trading card companies in the world as a high school freshman.

Now Houston will aim to take his talents to Baton Rouge, where he will look to keep the Shreveport football legend growing.
