We're finally going to get the burger war that Louisiana has been talking about for decades. In the future, you're going to be able to get a fresh Whataburger meal and a fresh In-N-Out meal, but them side-by-side and have it out.

Yeah, that's right, In-N-Out are finally aiming at The Boot...

So the big announcement this week was actually for another state...Tennessee. This represents In-N-Out's first expansion east of the Texas state line. Currently, the closest to Louisiana is the In-N-Out location in The Woodlands, Texas. That stop is about 120 driving miles from the border of Louisiana.

In-N-Out already has tons of Texas locations, which plays into this whole thing. They also have a massive Texas distribution center, which will service the Tennessee expansion. In-N-Out Burger Owner and President Lynsi Snyder announced that the company will be opening restaurants in Tennessee, and will also be relocating the company headquarters there.

During a press conference this week, Snyder said:

“There’s a path there that might cross a few other states. So don’t worry, there are others that will be included in this plan eventually”

That's an obvious nod to the states between the Texas distribution location, and Tennessee. Looking at a map, that means expansion is likely in Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, and Alabama. There were no specifics of which states and what dates, but for Louisiana burger fans, this is enough for now.
