Shreveport residents are reporting problems with water again this week. If you think that you have heard this story before, you have, July felt like the month of brown and yellow water in Shreveport. Discoloration continues to be a problem in several neighborhoods.

Trent Daughtery with FRST (First Responder Team) took to his personal Facebook page to share pictures of his daughter's bathwater. Although Trent made a few jokes, he was quick to call out the city of Shreveport.

Trent Daughtery's Facebook page said; "This is my baby's bath water. There is no urine-colored bath bomb that we would buy and be excited about bath time. City of Shreveport Government I know there has been press releases as to what it is, how we don't have the facilities in place to fix it, that it's harmless, etc. Flint, Michigan went through a bit of the same. We know how that played out. What is the plan? What are you doing to correct this? My kid should not be "excited" about getting to bathe in "apple juice". Even Barbie is over it..."

The city of Shreveport claimed that they were cleaning and washing the water basins and expected to complete the work by the end of the week, the only problem is this was in late July. The goal was to have residents see improvement in the water discoloration before the end of July. According to KEEL News, the city of Shreveport said "As Water and Sewerage crews and contractors continue to lower manganese levels, we are intensifying our strategic pipe-flushing efforts to expedite water turnover. We have increased and amplified our testing to better assist with treatment adjustments."
