This Saturday brings the Shreveport Skate Bash to Caddo Common Park in downtown Shreveport, put on by Nionea Anderson with the Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC). Starting at 6 pm on Saturday, July 20th, the community is invited to bust out their roller skates or skateboards to enjoy the local skate scene together. If skating isn't your forte you're still happily invited to attend with music, face painting, and food trucks on site. The Skate Bash will be a family-friendly event with security on location to keep everyone safe and the wheels rolling. The best part of all is the entire event will be free to attend.

DJ B-Smoove will provide music with a playlist handmade for the night's skate bash, and Al B will be emceeing the event all night long.

Food Vendors will include the following:

  • A Snacktivity
  • 1338 Smokehouse
  • Mi Meza
  • Snow Stoppers
  • 318 Food Co

Spinner Entertainment will be at the park providing face paintings for those interested. Local artist Betsy Levels will also be there at Caddo Common Park for the Shreveport Skate Bash.

For those interested in just getting out of the house the Shreveport Skate Bash could be a great way to spend your Saturday night, maybe even learning to skate with other skaters who would be happy to teach another the art of the skateboard. With a night of fun, food trucks, face painting, and live music this could be a great family event to get your kids out of the house and to let them get out some of that energy they've been building up all summer.
