Dip Lovers Excited About Rotel Fest in Shreveport

When I first moved to the south, I thought Rotel was an actual dip. I heard the term "Rotel dip" so often that I was convinced it was a simple dip you could buy packaged at the store. After a few parties and get-togethers in the south, I realized if you put a can of Rotel in anything you can dip a chip in, that dish gets called a Rotel dip.

Rotel is a brand of canned diced tomatoes and green chilies that come in different varieties that vary in spiciness. I have cheated a time or two and made a homemade salsa using Rotel, what can I say it saves me a bunch of time and effort in the kitchen.
