Shreveport Bartender Crafts Mocktails That Truly Satisfy
Dry January has swept the nation and many in the Bayou State are playing along. You would think being so close to New Orleans and during Carnival season many in Louisiana would opt out of Dry January, but here we are leaning into it.
How Do You Participate in Dry January?
You simply challenge yourself. Dry January is a challenge where individuals who typically consume alcohol commit to going booze-free for the entire month. It’s a chance to reset, reflect, and explore healthier lifestyle options. Some people just stick with water, others end up enjoying some innovative, non-alcoholic beverages.
Shreveport Residents Have Been Bustling into a Local Favorite for One of a-Kind Mocktails.

If you have had a drink at Zuzul Coastal Cuisine you've probably enjoyed a cocktail and conversation with Paul Loggins. Paul has been bartending in Shrevport-Bossier for almost 20 years, to say he knows his way around a bar is an understatement. Watching him work is like watching a chemist create the perfect potion.
This Local Bartender is Helping Make the Sober Lifestyle Sustainable in Shreveport.
Paul is the Cocktail Program Manager at Zuzul and his hospitality is second to none. When I asked around on the best mocktails in town several people pointed me to Zuzul. Did you know that Zuzul has a seasonal list of mocktails? Paul creates the drinks depending on what is in season and he doesn't stop there, this man is doing the most when it comes to bringing out the enjoyment in a drink not just with bold flavors but with a lot of research.
This Shreveport Bartender is the Pioneer of Mocktails in Shreveport.
Loggins makes all of the syrups at Zuzul and he uses several techniques to extract flavors, balance flavors, and isn't shy when bringing out bold flavors. These mocktails might relax you, at least that was my experience. Is that holy basil glycerite in your drink? Did he put Ashwagandha in your mocktail? Yup, but don't freak out, it's all part of the experience and these ingredients are good for you.
Paul thinks that it's more than just whipping up a booze-free drink, every single mocktail made at Zuzul has been beautifully crafted. That toasted orgeat that goes in the Latitude Adjustment is divine.
Paul and the team at Zuzul are on a mission to ensure that those living a sober lifestyle never feel left out. They’ve crafted perfectly curated mocktails that don’t just scratch the itch for a good drink—they fully satisfy your cravings. With their thoughtful creations, Zuzul is redefining the mocktail experience, making it just as indulgent and enjoyable as its boozy counterparts.
