SHREVEPORT, LA-    Man Identified and Wanted for a String of Armed Robberies

The Shreveport Police Department is actively seeking information on the whereabouts of Joshua Williams, who is wanted in connection with a string of armed robberies in the area.

On July 17th, the Shreveport Police Department responded to an armed robbery at the Exxon station located at 5109 Monkhouse Drive. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the complainant, who stated that while she was working the register, an armed man approached and demanded several packs of cigarettes. The suspect then took the items from the clerk and fled the scene.

Investigators from the SPD Robbery Unit were immediately notified and responded to the scene. Surveillance footage of the incident has been reviewed and is being released to the public in hopes of identifying this violent criminal. Thanks to vigilant citizens in our community, the suspect has been identified as Joshua Williams.

Williams currently has an outstanding warrant for First Degree Robbery and has committed several robberies in recent weeks.
