
Shreveport Police Crackdown Leads to Nearly 20 Weekend DWI Arrests
The Shreveport Police Department’s Traffic Unit and patrol officers executed another major enforcement push over the weekend, resulting in 19 arrests for driving while intoxicated and related traffic offenses.
Department officials emphasized that the surge in traffic stops and arrests reflects an ongoing commitment to reducing impaired driving, preventing collisions, and increasing safety across Shreveport roadways.
Shreveport Police Arrest Log Details Weekend Operations
Law enforcement officers took the following individuals into custody between August 6 and August 9:

• August 6 (2:56 p.m.): Demetrick Good – Arrested for DWI and multiple traffic offenses.

• August 6 (3:37 p.m.): Rachel Houston – Arrested for DWI (First Offense) and multiple traffic violations.

• August 7 (12:45 a.m.): Christopher Foster – Arrested for DWI (First Offense).

• August 7 (1:30 a.m.): Carlos Montgomery – Arrested for DWI (First Offense) and Driving Without Lights.

• August 7 (5:15 a.m.): Frederick Robinson – Arrested for DWI (Second Offense) and multiple traffic offenses.

• August 7 (7:45 p.m.): Donald Bellow – Arrested for DWI (Second Offense), Careless Operation, and multiple traffic offenses.

• August 8 (3:00 a.m.): Marcus Jackson – Arrested for DWI (First Offense), Reckless Operation, and Speeding.

• August 8 (3:15 a.m.): Gerald Tompkins – Arrested for DWI (First Offense) and Running a Stop Sign.

• August 8 (3:25 a.m.): Thomas St. Clair – Arrested for DWI (Second Offense) and Careless Operation.

• August 8 (4:30 a.m.): Kenneth Holyfield – Arrested for DWI (Second Offense) and additional traffic offenses.

• August 8 (4:35 a.m.): Stedson Gamble – Arrested for DWI (First Offense) and Hit-and-Run.

Police Issue Warning to Local Drivers
Following the weekend operation, the Shreveport Police Department issued a strong reminder to the public that driving under the influence is entirely preventable. Officials are urging community members to plan ahead by arranging a designated driver, booking a rideshare service, or taking a taxi before consuming alcohol.
Police warned motorists that enforcement will remain strict: drivers who choose to drink and drive in Shreveport should expect officers to actively look for and pull them over.
