Shreveport Man Arrested in Connection to Peach Street Shooting

Shreveport Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting that left two people injured.

On Monday, Officers with the Shreveport Police Department responded to a shooting call on Peach Street. While responding, Officers saw a vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, which led to a chase that ended near Abbie Street and Elder Street. Multiple individuals were detained, and SPD Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit continued the investigation.

Investigators determined Jamarcus D. Chatman was connected to the incident, and he was later arrested for attempted second-degree murder.
